About this work
The canvas is divided into flat vertical panels of muted color — gray-blue, near-black, warm tan and pale cream — crossed at the lower left by a pale triangular wedge suggesting a shaft of light or a fold of fabric; along the right edge runs a narrow strip patterned with small red, brown and lavender rectangles like inlaid tile.
