About this work
A path curves away through a dense grove of trees whose interlocking branches form a leafy tunnel overhead. Trunks and undergrowth crowd both sides of the path, opening at the far end onto a brighter clearing framed by more trees. Sunlight breaks through gaps in the foliage, scattering bright spots across the leaves and onto the ground.
The scene is rendered in an unusual palette of teal and turquoise greens rather than natural tones, with sunlight shown as patches of warm yellow and pink pushing through the cool foliage. Small, dense brushstrokes build a mosaic-like texture across the leaves, giving the canopy a decorative, stained-glass quality. The light feels warm and inviting, evoking a tranquil woodland walk.
