About this work
A pale blue-grey stemmed goblet stands at left beside draped fabric in bold orange and mustard-yellow folds, with a small teal shape suggesting a shadowed crease. Two rounded, yellow-green quinces rest at the base of the arrangement, set against a plain, softly grey backdrop.
Form is reduced to broad, flat planes of color with almost no internal modeling or texture, the objects read more as shapes than as rendered volumes. Cool grey-blue tones sit against warm orange and yellow, and the simplified, decorative geometry gives the still life a calm, meditative stillness.
