About this work
Steep diagonal bands of black and grey sweep across the canvas from upper left to lower right, cut by jagged white streaks and thin scratched lines. Faint handwritten scrawl and a small monogram sit in the upper corners, while loose geometric fragments and cross-hatched marks break up the lower half; no recognizable figures or setting appear.
The palette is reduced to black, grey, and white, applied in broad dry-brush sweeps that leave the canvas weave visible through the paint.
