Series Creation of Earth

The composition splits into two zones: an upper sky filled with a large yellow sun, a pale crescent moon and scattered stars rendered against swirling blue, and a lower half dominated by a jagged, faceted rock formation built from interlocking geometric planes, set on a gridded ground plane that recedes toward the viewer.

Every form is built from dense, scratched or etched linework in glowing yellow, cyan, violet and acid green against a near-black ground, so light seems to radiate from within the lines themselves. The technique gives the whole surface a vibrating, textile-like texture, and the geometric faceting of the mountain against the swirling sky produces a mysterious, otherworldly, almost crystalline vision of a planet taking shape.
