About this work
A life-size sculpted nude male figure stands frontally on a low pedestal, arms held slightly away from the body with fingers curled and long dark hair falling to the shoulders. Red streaks and spatters cover the chest, groin, arms, legs and feet like blood or wounds. The figure is photographed against a whitewashed exposed-brick wall in a raw studio-like space.
The concrete surface is worked in soft grey-blue and flesh tones with a chalky, weathered texture, punctuated by vivid red marks that read as stains.
