About this work
At the center of the sheet, a hazy, semi-transparent head or face-like shape appears in muted pink and grey tones, partly obscured by overlapping paper and paint layers. Above it, loose grey pencil scribbles sit over a soft blue-green horizon-like wash, and a torn fragment of an old topographic map is collaged into the upper right corner. Below, tangled red and dark blue thread-like lines trail downward through greenish washes and vertical color bands.
Watercolor, pencil, collage paper, and thin painted string layer densely so no single element stays fully legible; the greens, blues, and muted pinks bleed and overlap into a soft, hazy field. The overall effect is quiet and elusive, a portrait-like presence dissolving into texture and drips rather than a clearly stated likeness.
