About this work
Seen from an elevated viewpoint, a dense sea of overlapping rooftops, chimneys, and gables stretches to the horizon. A domed tower and distant spires break the skyline near the center, while a pale, hazy sky merges softly with the rooftops in the far distance.
Muted grays dominate, warmed by ochre and orange highlights where light catches walls and roof tiles below.
