About this work

A stone Gothic tower with a tall lancet window stands beside a slender spire, both rising above a mass of dark, silhouetted foliage. The lower portion of the building is obscured by trees and shadow, with faint hints of reflected light suggesting water at the base.

Warm golden ochre defines the weathered stone against a dusky mauve-pink sky, applied in thick, textured strokes that catch the light unevenly across the facade. The near-black shadows below and the softly hazy sky create a hushed, mysterious atmosphere of fading daylight.
