About this work
Inside a wooden cabin, a dark cast stove or samovar stand and a covered bucket occupy the foreground, silhouetted against a bright open doorway. Through the doorway, sunlit green foliage glows outside; a second, smaller window at right admits cooler daylight across the plank floor and rough log walls.
