Canvas from the series "Disembodiedness. Traces of presence" The paintings raise the question of whether we feel corporeality when it disappears. The bed is a very personal and at the same time uniting place of presence for all people. There is no person, there are only his traces - jammed and jammed draperies. In their of the configuration, the space becomes alienated and empty, then preserving heat and the possibility of contact. If the figure is present, it is almost indistinguishable, dissolved and absorbed by the draperies. Smaller format works emphasize and bring the tactile aspect of the topic closer.

About this work
Seen from a low, steep angle at the foot of a bed, a heavy white sheet and gray blanket surge upward in deep, twisting folds toward a bunched pillow at the top of the frame. Pleated strips of ticking line both edges of the mattress. No figure occupies the bed, only the imprint of its recent use remains.
Rendered almost entirely in grisaille, the palette moves through cool grays and chalky whites under a soft, even light that models every crease with careful gradation. The brushwork is smooth and blended, closer to photographic realism than painterly gesture, and the absence of any body in this crumpled terrain gives the image a hushed, melancholic stillness.
