About this work
Bare fruit trees rise from a blanket of snow in a quiet orchard garden, their dark trunks and branches stark against pale sky. A wooden bench sits empty at left, while young shrubs and saplings are tied into bundles and wrapped for the cold, staked upright in the foreground snow. Low sheds and more trees recede into a hazy grey background.
