About this work
A stylized human face fills the canvas, painted in heavy layers of orange and yellow with a darker band crossing the eyes like a mask, echoing the title's fox motif. Loose gestural strokes suggest hair or foliage streaming down both sides, with dark green and black marks framing the head against a lilac and tan ground.
