About this work
A dense patch of dandelions fills the canvas, bright yellow blossoms clustered across the lower half while pale, fully-seeded white puffballs rise above them toward the top. A single bee rests on one of the yellow flowerheads near the center, and loose seed tufts drift through the surrounding grass.
The palette shifts from warm yellows and greens below to cooler lavender-grey tones in the shadowed upper grass, painted with soft, feathery strokes that blur the seed heads into a hazy veil. The overall effect is airy and delicate, giving the flowers a fragile, short-lived, dreamlike quality.
