About this work

Behind him a nude woman with rounded breasts and softly modeled shoulders leans in close, her head resting near his, one arm draped over him in an intimate, entwined pose.
The man is drawn in stark black ink with dense scribbled hair and deep facial lines, while the woman appears almost entirely in a bleeding rose-red line that dissolves into pink and violet at the edges. Ink blots spot the paper around them. The contrast between the two ink colors and the close, folded posture gives the drawing a tender, dreamlike intimacy.
