About this work
Seven or eight men in matching grey suits and dark ties walk forward in a loose phalanx, their faces and postures nearly interchangeable. They tread across a pale, cracked or icy expanse littered with light debris, set against a solid black backdrop crossed by a single thin red horizontal band.
The palette is reduced to greys, black, and a stark red accent, with the suits painted in smeared, semi-transparent strokes that blur the men's edges into one another.
