Yuriy Borchukov

Borchukov Yuri Vladimirovich is a hereditary artist, is a cousin grandson of the famous Soviet artist - Alexander Pavlovich Bubnov. Yuri's work is relevant and multifaceted, the artist often turns to historical subjects, is inspired by the atmosphere of the culture of the past and compares it with the present modern reality. Experiments with color are sometimes brought to paradoxical combinations. The artist's interest in the textures of the paint layer is especially evident in the works of a monumental and decorative nature. While studying at the art school, Yuri also studied at the school of icon painting . Then he entered the art school as a painter , teacher . After receiving a specialized secondary education , he moved to St. Petersburg . In 2006. was accepted for the first year of the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting , Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin , department of "painting". After the second year , as is customary in the academy , he was distributed to the workshopof monumental painting under the guidance of Professor A. K. Bystrov . He studied with great interest . During this time, he was twice awardedthe gold medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for his academic achievements. He studied and mastered in practice the principles of working with monumental compositions, various materials and techniques . Such as stained glass , mosaic , sgraffito and fresco . In 2013-2014, he performed the thesis "Gallant Century", which was praised bythe SAC . At the end of 2014, he was admitted for 3 years to the Creative Workshop of Monumental Painting under the guidance of the acting member of the Russian Academy of Arts, painter V.A. Mylnikova . Repeatedly participated in the murals of Orthodox churches . He is engaged in pedagogical and scientific activities in his specialty . Member of the Union of Artists of Russia ,a regular participant in art exhibitions . Yuri's works are in private collections in Russia, France, and China.
