About this work
A winged female figure in profile, a small bird perched on her braided hair, sits centered in the composition with one hand resting near a pale round disc and the other trailing along curling vines. Stylized red, pink and cream flowers and buds spread across the lower half and both sides of the canvas, framing her against a softly glowing circular halo.
Warm golds, creams and dusty rose dominate, set off by cooler violet-grey passages at the margins.
