Soul VI

A single nude figure tumbles diagonally through an almost featureless black space, head dropped low and one arm raised overhead with the hand clenched into a fist. Scattered white flecks surround the body like sparks or distant stars, and the limbs dissolve into loose, unfinished strokes at the edges of the canvas.

The palette stays close to monochrome, built from near-black browns and greens lit only by the pale ivory of the skin and a few ochre passages along the arm. Paint is dragged and scumbled rather than smoothly blended, leaving visible drips and speckled highlights that read as motion. The effect is unsettled and dreamlike, a body suspended between falling and flight.
