About this work
A single daisy-like flower with layered yellow-gold petals and a textured brownish-orange center fills the middle of the composition, its thin green stem descending toward the lower edge. The background is filled edge-to-edge with broad, sweeping strokes of dark and olive green, leaving the flower isolated against the foliage-like field.
