About this work
A long, low modern building stretches across the canvas, its main wall a grid of blue-glass windows framed by white mullions and capped at both ends by solid panels in warm salmon-pink. Dark shrubs sit along a concrete retaining wall in front, above a wide stretch of bare, rutted ochre ground.
A dense, near-black storm sky looms behind the roofline, applied in broad, dry strokes that leave the canvas weave visible, sharpening the contrast with the cooler glazing and warm walls.
