About this work
The corner of a two-storey house catches a raking light that turns its plaster wall sickly green, its four small windows glowing pale blue from within. A dark car sits parked before it, and beyond, a neighboring building shows a single window lit warm orange amid black foliage.
Near-black values dominate, with the acid green wall the only sustained color against a flat, textureless night. Paint is smooth and thin, light falling in one hard diagonal like a spotlight, producing a still, faintly ominous hush.
