About this work
A narrow covered passage runs between plaster walls lit teal-green from an unseen source, small dark windows lining the left side. At its end a taller wall glows the same green, pierced by a bright orange-red window near the top and darker openings below; an archway to the right frames a dusky sky and the silhouette of a tree.
Cool teal-green plays against warm ochre and red in a tight, high-contrast scheme, the vault above rendered as near-solid black. Brushwork is smooth and blended, light pooling low on the floor and climbing the far wall, giving the passage a hushed, confined, faintly uneasy atmosphere.
