About this work
A crenellated square tower and a rounded corner tower anchor a long stone fortress wall, linked by a row of arched openings that form a bridge or aqueduct-like passage across a hollow. A dirt path curves through the green meadow in the foreground, leading the eye toward the ancient stonework, while a wide sky filled with rolling cumulus clouds stretches above the ridge.
