About this work
A tall round tower with a domed cupola rises above the waterfront buildings of a harbor town, seen across a broad expanse of still water. Boats are moored along the quay, and dark rocks break the surface of the water in the foreground and middle distance.
Warm gold and peach tones wash the sky and tower in evening light, mirrored in soft, elongated reflections across the blue-grey water. Fluid, blended brushwork and gentle color gradations create a tranquil, glowing dusk atmosphere.
