About this work

Dozens of interlocking biomorphic forms crowd a dark ground: a large red, cratered sphere sits at left, a tight brown-and-white spiral coils at bottom left, and pale striped tentacle-like appendages stretch across the center toward smaller pod- and shell-shaped clusters on the right.

Rendered in a narrow palette of black, brick-red, slate grey and warm brown, the surface is built from tiny dots, stripes and cross-hatched textures packed edge to edge with almost no empty space. The flat, evenly lit forms and repeated micro-patterns give the canvas a hallucinatory, cellular-cosmic feel, somewhere between a night sky and a microscope slide.
