GRAPHIC ART — STUDENT WORKS ARCHIVE
The Graphic Art Student Works Archive on Academart is a growing visual collection of works created by students of the Repin Academy of Arts.
Since 2016, the archive has documented different stages of artistic education — from early drawing and composition exercises to advanced graphic works and graduation projects.
The collection includes drawing, etching, lithography, linocut, book and easel graphics, offering an insight into the techniques, methods and artistic approaches that shape a graphic artist's professional development.
A TRADITION OF GRAPHIC ART
The graphic arts school of the Repin Academy has a long and distinctive tradition, associated with generations of artists and teachers, including Vasily Mate, Vladimir Vetrogonsky, Konstantin Lee and Andrei Pakhomov.
Their work and teaching contributed to the development of a graphic art tradition based on strong drawing, precise composition, mastery of technique and individual artistic expression.
The student archive continues this tradition by bringing together works from different generations and stages of study.
FROM STUDENT TO ARTIST
Works can be explored by artist's surname, creating individual galleries within the archive.
For artists who also have dedicated profiles on Academart, their student works can be viewed alongside their later professional work. This creates a visual connection between academic studies, artistic development and mature creative practice.
The archive is continuously expanded with new works documented during the Academy's annual reviews.
