Your order will be performed by professional artists – graduates and students of the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Russian Academy of Arts, represented on our Web site www.academart.com. These artists are experienced in copying, which is included in the Academy of Arts’ obligatory educational courses. All ordered copies will be performed in oil-on-linen technique or in any other technique corresponding to original. We also offer you to order old masterpieces replica, which could be more or less substantial variation of the original. Copies and replica of graphic works and sculptures are also available.
The procedure of ordering:
1. Where should I send my order to?
Please, go Contacts page. to make your order.2. What artwork should be copied?
We can offer to copy any paintings from The State Hermitage (www.hermitage.ru) and The State Russian Museum (www.rusmuseum.ru) collections or from the photo of any other painting, you prefer. You can send an ordinary or a digital photo, if it is clear enough. We can provide you with our own versions of artworks to copy corresponding to your taste and preferences.3. If I am able to control the procedure of implementation of order?
Yes, for sure, we shall inform you on the procedure of performance of the art work, which you have ordered. First, we’ll agree with you the sketch of the future painting. Afterwards, we shall provide you with photos of main steps of the work.
4.If I order to copy a piece of art from Saint Petersburg museum, will be the author copying in the museum?
Yes, certainly. If you order a copy of the artwork being a part of Saint Petersburg museum collections, the process of copying will be partly performed at museum expositions immediately in front of the original.
5. How long it will take to complete my order?
Creating of commission copy will take 14 days at least.
We could provide you with more detailed information on terms after you have made your order and specified your requirements.6. How can I pay for my order?
We shall determine the price of order according to preferred specification of the one. The first payment amounts to 30% of the price of order. Final settlement shall be completed after negotiation of final stage of the work. The finished work shall be shipped after receipt of final payment. Please, find additional information on Purchase page.7. How is a painting packed for delivery?
We can ship the work either in roll or on the stretcher. In both cases, the painting will be thoroughly packed with the special packing materials for safe and careful transportation.

The copying was implemented by photography. To clear the features of Pompeo Batoni’s technology and individual manner, his works of art, which are held at the State Hermitage (Saint Petersburg), have been investigated beforehand. Dimensions of the copy exceed those of the original as requested by the customer.
